[Please include any additional information your students should know about course time commitment expectations.]
Student course time commitments may vary from course to course. Typically, a 16-week course requires two (2) additional hours of preparation for each credit, per week, outside the classroom (or after the virtual/Zoom course session). For 16-week fully online courses, students would spend about three (3) hours on course work per credit, per week. 8-week courses, whether in-person or virtual, meet for fewer hours, but include more homework. For 8-week fully online courses, students would spend about six (6) hours on course work per credit, per week.
Regardless of the delivery method, approximately 45 hours per credit of total student effort is anticipated. This equates to 135 hours for a 3-credit course.
