English as a Second Language Education Minor (A)
The English as a Second Language endorsement program is a 21-credit program for K-12 educators who are interested in obtaining the Michigan Endorsement in the area of English as a Second Language (NS). Courses address linguistics, literacy, cross-cultural communication, assessment, ESL teaching methods, and teaching English in the content areas. You can expect to broaden your own knowledge of English, and to develop and apply teaching strategies that will support English language development in all students, focusing on English learners’ needs.
